Greetings! Welcome!
This is the social media banner I made in Canva on a free template. It's space because I'm a space case: get it?

I have decided to take my near-daily ramblings about my parenting experience from social media to a bona fide blog.

So, here we are then. This is Ghost. This is me, writing on Ghost.

I will do my best to post each day. Of course, life happens and there may be hiccups from time to time, but I am pretty consistent. I haven't quite decided what kind of content will be subscribers-only, but probably the things that are more extensively researched and/or deeply personal.

Mostly, I'm sort of a silly little guy. I hang out with an even sillier, littler guy who is the basis of my content. We'll call him E.

As for what kind of space this is, this is where I do my best to help other neurodivergent parents with their parenting. I share my musings, my mistakes, my remedies, my research...anything that I can bring to our shared table of knowledge and support. I also welcome questions and thoughts from y'all: what, as neurodivergent parents, would you most like to discuss and most desire advice about? I do focus on the gentle parenting approach, and will write with those goals in mind.

I should probably introduce myself properly. Hi, I'm Lu. I'm a middle-aged parent of a goofy toddler boy. I'm AuDHD and have narcolepsy and some OCD to spice things up. I'm unmedicated and rely on various coping mechanisms to navigate life; I have no opinion about other people using medication, as it is none of my business. I'm queer as a shiny flashing rainbow and I am white. This is the point of view I am writing from, and while I am invested in the well-being of racial and ethnic minorities I don't speak for any of them and will happily refer anyone interested to relevant content creators I know of for further information. I participate in politics, but don't discuss that here unless it is related to parenting and neurodivergence. It's important, but this is not the space for that.

That being said, I ask that if you do not respect the humanity, dignity, and rights of 2SLGBTQIA+ and racial and ethnic minorities to please scroll along because this is not the space for you.

Lastly, while I have years of reading about child development because it is a special interest, I do not hold any sort of professional license or credential past a bachelor's degree in psychology. I am merely here to offer my experiences and thoughts in hopes of helping others. This is not professional advice.

I'm looking forward to diving in! See you tomorrow. 😃
